Fascinated by France
Head to the south of France for the summer to enjoy an array of glorious beaches. Nice offers a selection of beautifully unique relaxation spots, giving you time to take in the view of the gorgeous coastline. The same region also offers the sun-soaked Antibes and Cannes for a long-lasting impression of glamour. A quick picturesque bus or train ride along the coast will get you to Villefranche-Sur-Mer and enjoy a glimpse of the most desirable yachts whilst you indulge in refreshing ice cream.
Perfection in Portugal
Sticking to the south, the Algarve offers holidaymakers a collection of characteristic coves to admire. With the glorious weather guaranteed, the atmospheric location offers a great mix of relaxation on the beach and a nearby energetic town to venture around. There are many options for you to day trip around the local beaches – the golden Praia da Benagil being our top recommendation – with water tours being an extremely popular way to see what the coast encompasses.
Charming Croatia
For more views, the island of Lopud offers beautiful exclusive scenery, just off the coast of the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik. This calming island has many historical features to keep your mind wandering, with spectacular hills and cliffs to gaze at and explore. The unspoiled secret of Sunji Beach is just a taxi – or a hike if you’re more adventurous – across the island and worth the visit, an easy destination to fit in a tour around the Elaphiti Islands. You won’t be disappointed.
Idyllic Italy
For white sands, beach bars and a glorious sunset, Sardinia’s Spiaggia di Tuerredda is a perfect location. A stunning stretch of sand, this is a great place to hire a sunbed to lounge on and take in the view of a glistening sea. There’s plenty to do and see on the mainland but head out into the sea from here for some snorkelling action and make the most of the clear water. This Italian island is the place to be.
Inviting Ibiza
Known primarily as a party location, Ibiza is not somewhere that would perhaps spring to mind for a beach holiday. However, glamorous beaches like Las Salinas have a lot to offer, with countless bars to choose from to find your favourite cocktail and a great setting to enjoy the sun and summer tunes. For a more relaxed vibe, check out Cala Xuclar – a magical and quieter beach with a highly recommended restaurant to help you refuel. A favourite with locals as well as visitors, a trip here should not be left off your list of things to do!
